Gaziantep Keşif Kampüsü Kicked Off the New Academic Year with a Science Festival!
Gaziantep Keşif Kampüsü, which aims to bring science and technology to a wider audience in society and create awareness in all layers of society, especially among children and young people, with practical workshop training for the 6-14 age group, began the academic year with a Science Festival, making it the first of its kind in Türkiye.
The opening program was initiated by Prof. Dr. Burcu Özsoy and Expert Researcher Captain Sinan Yirmibeşoğlu from TÜBİTAK MAM Polar Research Institute. Students participated in enlightening workshop activities with the support of Dr. Adile Akpınar, Dr. Hidayet Mazı, Dr. Ceren Yıldırım, and Dr. Orhun Hakkoymaz from Gaziantep University during the science festival.
Students also had exciting moments participating in activities related to the principles and management of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Paragliding Flight, organized by Teacher Mehmet Uğur from the Turkish Aeronautical Association. Students who attended the workshops expressed that their experiences illuminated them from a scientific perspective, and they were very happy to participate in such events.
